Photography Request

Request a Photo Shoot or Event Coverage

As part of GW's Office of Communications and Marketing, the photo team collaborates with divisions, departments and schools across the university on projects that are inline with the high-level university priorities that help to recruit and retain students.

Please know that filling out this request form is not a guarantee that we will be able to handle your project. We will review it and let you know as soon as possible if we will be able to partner with you. If we are able to take on your project, we will follow up with an intake meeting to assess your needs and goals. If we aren’t able to meet your needs, we will provide you with a list of local freelancers.

Please note: If you are requesting photo or video coverage for an event or project, please use the Photo/Video Release Form to obtain permission from participants. These releases give GW the right to use the images or footage in publications, websites, advertising, and other university materials. You can also use the Photo/Video Form Link Creator to generate a URL with your event details pre-filled and confirmation emails sent to specific addresses.

Suggested Deadline

When do you need the images by? Average turnaround time is 3 to 5 business days depending on our schedule and the size of the shoot.
